The Olympics Drawn

October 2014

Scenographic design, graphic layout and editing for this exhibition featuring an amazing array or original materials never seen before from the drawn concepts and storyboards that built the 2012 Olympics.

Curated by Dr Joanne O'Hara and Professor Stephen Farthing The Olympics Drawn: London 2012 tells the story of the conception, production and implementation of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, through the medium of drawing.
Showcasing drawings made by a variety of designers, practitioners and professionals who contributed to all aspects of delivery of the Games, the exhibition presents a truly multi-disciplinary collection of images.

Thematic issues of place, performance, movement and iconicity feature alongside material exploring how the Games were planned; how the built environment was transformed; and how the Ceremonies were orchestrated.

Due to the restricted nature of the work on display we can only show part of this extensive exhibition.
